Despite waking up to a blanket of snow outside and wondering about the pansies I just planted the day before, I am looking forward to being “back in the classroom” this summer with a lively group of three, four and five year olds. This will be my first summer of teaching since 2008 and I’m feeling a little bit creaky from my usual days of working in the office. .. no doubt I will need to brush up on my singing skills as every day needs to start with a song when you work with children. I’ll also need to stretch out a bit and practice those knee bends so I can be ready to jump up from the floor at any given moment. And maybe I should read up on the latest children’s “best sellers” at the local library. Definitely, we will need to raid the art room for old supplies that call out for scissors, glue and tape (lots and lots of tape!). With 16 four and five year olds in my group and 8-10 three and four year olds in Whitney and Jessa’s group, we are going to be very, very busy (hey, that reminds me of another favorite children’s  book) summer! The summer fun begins on July 7th- please call us if you want to know about our programs!

Ps. We have a new summer camp for 6-9 year olds, too! The theme for the older kids is “Earth, Wind, Air and Fire”!
